Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers are neither trying to be both

Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Officers were Yachtsmen Pretending to Be Both Seamen and Gentlemen
It’s no longer relevant the RNR and RNVR combined long ago. At one time there was a distinction between MN Officers who joined the Reserve and Yachts Men who Joined The Volunteer Reserve.
The MN officers are not able to show up for weekly training sessions.
