Today, Sunday, November 10, people across the Commonwealth gathered to commemorate and remember those who lost their lives in war.
The Queen lead the traditional National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.
The service attended by the Mayor of London, senior politicians, former Prime Ministers and High Commissioners from the Commonwealth, along with representatives from the Armed Forces, Merchant Air and the Merchant Navy.

There was also a march by a cadet detachment, Royal Navy officers and Guard of Honour at 10:45 in the sunken gardens, Merchant Navy Memorial at Trinity Square, Tower Hill. It was followed by a ceremony at 10:55 and a two minutes silence at 11:00.
